Departed AFA at 0930 and drove 291 miles to WaKeeney, Kansas KOA. That's how they spell it! Time change so we're now Central and 1 hour behind NC. Route was a little on US24 and most on I-70. We'd like to travel US24 next time and see the small towns.
Man, there is nothing on I-70 except miles and miles and miles of wheat fields. Pretty, but that's all there is.
We saw many windmill farms. They are huge. We didn't take pictures because they didn't show up well.
Interesting is that campgrounds along interstates are empty until about 1500 when RV's start pouring in. This one will soon be full.
Chilling in the RV and eating in. Some SOS sounds good!
Still in Kansas tomorrow.
Hope you got your a.c. working.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't the AC, its the generator that we need to run the AC while on the road..it works fine on shore power in the campground. We're ok though. We leave earlier and stop by 2PM so it isn't bad. Plus it is cooler now.
