Catch up: Yellowstone National Park (5 June)

As noted in the previous post, Charlie and Gloria offered to take us to Yellowstone (aka YNP here). Since it is a 2 hour trip each way and traffic inside the park unknown, we took 2 cars so we could take our dogs and not have to worry about them.

Cannot comment on each picture so, in summary, it is an amazing experience. The drive there has the Grand Tetons on the right and amazing sights everywhere. Did 3 states in one day! Idaho, Montana, Wyoming.

Inside the park there are great roads that you travel at 45 MPH, unless a bear/bison/elk decides to use the road. Then you stop. We didn't see any on the road but we saw a lot of bison right next to the road. No bear sightings. After you enter the park you go along a beautiful river with sights at every turn. Further on you come across thermal areas with stem rising. Then you come to the grand attraction, Old Faithful. We could have gone out the south end of YNP but that is a lot longer. Instead retraced our path and, amazingly, saw things totally different from that direction.  Hope this helps explain the pictures.

What a wonderful memory.
