Doing Nothing in SLP

That is what we did today. Well, not totally but we kicked back. It has been a long time that we had a very full to-do list and now, not so much. So, sorry Barry, not many pictures today.

Pedro and Suzanne, the RV Park owners stopped by to say hello. Chris had helped with some translations and we gave them our questions. One was our concern that we need to SkyPE in for Andi and David’s wedding tomorrow. (We tested it later and it worked pretty good except for Casey’s insistence to use Apple stuff and her end (Apple) kept dropping whilst our Android worked fine Smile:-)).

Are these nice folks? One question was the location of the nearest laundry service. Her answer was use our house machine!

The RV's compartments have been closed for a month plus and they were damp. We opened them all and let them dry. And we got rid of stuff we don't need. Oh, we napped. We read books/Kindles. We just chilled. We are at about 7,000 ft altitude so it does take a slight toll. The dogs and cats love having free range 24/7. They don’t venture far from the food bowl but they are free (and safe) enough.

The big decision is what to do the next 2 weeks. Holy Week (Semana Santa) results in a huge migration to the country side from the big cites. Here's an excellent explanation  LINK

It's hard to find RV places that week. We must go to San Miguel Allende to see Chris/Juan/Croft/Norma at least for an hour or two since Croft brought us generator parts and needs reimbursement. We can stay here and do a 2 hour ride (one way) but we'd rather be there. We could explore a lot from this great area. We'll see.

The only pictures.

Is this a neat truck or not?

  1. Another option for the generator parts would be for us to stop in SLP to see you for a few minutes. It would be a quick stop as we will be on the road for quite a few hours and we have a firm time to meet the rental agent.

You do know about the RV park near SMA that can take large rigs?

For laundry, look for a small business with the word 'Lavandería' on it. They will do your laundry, fold and bag it for less than you would pay in a laundromat back home. It is one of the Mexican treats that Norma looks so forward to.

    1. Lets see on the meet up. We have a few days to decide where to go and when. About the park, yes but it is full with a caravan they say...twice and Chris called them. Kevin doesn't believe them and said I should just show up but I'm not a big risk taker and like to have somewhat of a plan. I know about the Lavandería, we used one on the Emerald Coast and other places. I was asking the owner where one is around here when they offered their own!
