Saturday in Patzcurao

We also had a late day touring. First we drove down to the landing where the boats leave from to go to the island on the lake. We just wanted to do a reconnaissance since we'll do the trip on a weekday and it is close to the grocery store. Not very impressed with the landing but it probably is better once you clear the harbor.

Just up the road are shops and work places making and selling wood carvings. We could not believe all the works on display and being carved. The owner gave us permission to take pictures, maybe because we bought stuff

Later we went to town central for dinner and a stroll through the square. What a treat. The square was full of families sitting and chatting and kids playing. Even saw several playing with the old fashion tops. They were really good at it. There was some folk dance groups but they were on break it seemed. Amazing. People strolling and laughing and rarely glancing at their cell phones (and they have them).
