There goes the trip plan (Patz)

There goes the trip plan, not that there was really ever one. We had "planned" for a week here and then work our way west then up the west coast. After today, that ain't gonna happen. We LOVE Patzcurao. Will be tough to move on because I'm familiar with what is beyond, and it cannot match this. Yes, the deserted beaches are awesome and we will enjoy them. But, the view we have from here is breath taking.

We went into town and walked around quite a bit. Some of the sights (and the pictures don't do it justice).

Beautiful main square

Amazing Salmon in mango sauce. Huge portion. $8.

Ok. this falls into the "oh hell no" category. We light candles in memory of loved ones. This basilica uses these! Flickering LEDs!

Back at the campground we enjoyed the donkeys.

  1. Take the drive around the lake, some very nice little villages along the way (Quiroga). Plan on spending the day.

Also a short drive to Santa Clara del Cobre to see the amazing copper products is a must.

    1. Since it looks like we'll be here awhile we'll do all these things. Wish you all and the guys were here. That would be icing on the cake.

    1. Rancho La Mesa. I think it was built around 2010 so if you haven't been here in awhile you wouldn't know it. Thanks for posting!

  3. I agree with the drive to visit Santa Clara. Patzcuaro is a wonderful place. A bit of everything for everyone.

The pictures with the fur kids and the donkeys are hilarious. I wonder what they were thinking :)
