Back in the USA

We did the blue path from San Carlos to Tucson
Today we headed for the border and then to the Family Camp at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson.

Interim report: check back later. 5 hours San Carlos to border. Robin had to drive the Saturn because the tow bar is broke. Only took 1/2 hour to clear US border! CBP guys were great! RV lane closed and got in a lane I couldn't pass. They stopped traffic, made people move and I backed out to get in the bus lane. They let Robin get in behind me. They could not have been nicer. They checked the compartments but surface only. Played with the dogs (never asked for health certificates).

2.5 months in Mexico. Not one hinky feeling. Never felt that we were in the wrong place. Not one person was rude to us. Everyone was super nice to us. Police were very nice to us and helpful. No one tried to cheat us. Pemex folks were super nice and never cheated us. Amazing trip. Amazing people. Beautiful country.

Miles and miles of desert road. Pretty views though.

They made the truck move so Robin could get in behind me.

    1. Bought a new one on Amazon - being delivered today. The old one was from 2005 and has about 80K hard miles on it. Mexican speed bumps are hard on the system.

  2. That has been our experience every time as well, never any problems. It was good Robin could drive the Saturn.

Which crossing did you use? Nogales?
