Fillmore Utah

Departed Nellis AFB at 0953 and arrived in Fillmore, Utah 4hrs, 37 min later. I-15 all the way. Time change and we're now 2 hours behind NC. It will be an easy, short drive tomorrow to Salt Lake.

What a great route! We crossed into Arizona again for a little bit and what a beautiful drive through the canyons. Robin says Arizona is #1 in her book. Once again, these pictures do not do it justice. Thus the only real value if them is for our memory and to give readers an idea of why they should come here.

Why yes, the speed limit in Utah is 80! We kicked back and cruised at around 60. We can't tow the Saturn at more than 65 anyway. That's fast enough.

For much of the trip we were at about 6,000 ft.

We've stopped for the night in Fillmore KOA. Beautiful park with beautiful views. $43. And yes, that is snow on the mountains. Everywhere else is beautiful plains.

We just did a night walk. The sky is so clear. We just want to stay outside and look. Our idea is to go west from NC with no schedule. Stay in RV parks like this for several nights and see really small town USA. Happy.

  3. We've never been to Utah. I worked in SLC in the early 1980s for a day or two and that was it. All the pictures I've seen are incredible. Keep enjoying your trip. Great memories from Mexico!
