On to Nellis AFB, Vegas.

Got an oil change and then headed to Vegas. About 4 hours through beautiful desert scenery. Gaining a great appreciation for Arizona. We could live here. Road was great.

Passed near Hoover Dam on the new bridge (used to cross over the Dam itself).

Staying at the fantastic Nellis Air Force Base campground. Another case of the Air Force doing it right! LINK  The base is usually quite active with fighters landing and taking off and even the Thunderbird's practicing their show. But, it is Memorial Day weekend so everything is quiet. Haven't heard one plane in 2 days.
