Road trip to the Strip! Nellis is only a few miles so it doesn't take long. We did Vegas Blvd from the Base to town just to see the sights.
We decided to park (free) at Paris, a favorite of Steve's) and walk to the other casino's. But first, the Paris Buffet. It has always been good and still is. Pricey though at $35 for the holiday brunch.
Then the games
Gordon Ranmseys place...$45 for Fish and Chips. Filet for only $105! |
Walked to Flamingo
Beautiful gardens |
A few folks at the pool |
Then to Caesar's Palace and Mirage. Had a beer and margarita for only $26!
Then Robin's favorite, The Venetian.
Why yes, the canal goes inside the hotel! ALL gondoliers sing beautifully a several places in the cruise.
These folks were getting married and saying their vows right here!
The main entry of the hotel
We were exhausted after about 5 hours of walking and standing. The place is very crowed because of the holiday weekend. We lost about $10 on the penny slots.
Yeah Baby! We love Las Vegas. But what I can't seem to grasp is the fact that Robin enjoyed all that great Mexican food for months and looks like she didn't gain an ounce! I hope the buffet was good! Saludos!
ReplyDeleteAmazing isn't it? She chows down and never gains an once. I look at it and gain! There is a lot of commentary around here about the buffets not being as good a value as they once were. Paris was still good but not like 10 years ago. Flamingo used to have a good one too but it doesn't open for dinner during the week anymore. Rio axed their famous seafood buffet. But, we still enjoyed it.
